International charter flights with Singapore Airlines also arrive at Hobart. Check www.travelonline.com for flights to and within Australia.
Hobart airport is situated 17km from the city centre and is easily reached by shuttle bus. The Airporter Shuttle Bus will deliver you to your accommodation in Hobart, or to transit stations. Car hire and campervan facilities are also available at the airport.
The Spirit of Tasmania (www.spiritoftasmania.com.au) car and passenger ferries cross the Bass Strait from Melbourne to Devonport in the north of Tasmania.
Passenger trains are no longer running in Tasmania. Check locally for some tourist routes on historic tracks.
